10 Principles of the Code of Ethics

What the GAPS Consultant DOES
- Respect and protect privacy and confidentiality
- Act in the best interest of the client
- Refer to qualified professionals when necessary
- Comply with local laws and regulations
- Maintain secure client records
- Continue professional development
What the GAPS Consultant DOES NOT Do
- Act with conflicts of interest
- Use titles misaligned with training
- Make promises of curing or preventing diseases
- Advise discontinuation of medications
- Diagnose or treat diseases
- Discriminate based on personal factors
Scope of Practice
Application of the Official GAPS Consulting Framework: client agreements, questionnaires, equipment checklists, pantry inspections, food sourcing guidance, cooking demonstrations, household product review, and progress tracking.
